Donna Pierce settled in Turlock in 1971 with her late husband Wayne Pierce when he accepted a position as a Botany professor at Stanislaus State. In 1989, Donna joined her husband, friends and students in planting 300 oak trees on the site of the Trans-California Pathway. Scope and Contents
This video documents the execution of a large-scale mural in the Vasché Library. The mural is located on the south wall ajoining the grand staircase, and extends from the first to second floor. The video uses time-lapse sequencing to capture the artists' process. The artists also discuss the mural's thematic message of coummunity, inclusivity, and the land's history.
