Scope and Contents
This reproduction is one of a series of reliefs of the royal Lion Hunt of King Ashurbanipal (reigned 669–631 BC). The original reliefs were painted in bright colors, and were located in the North Palace of Nineveh (modern day Northern Iraq). The reliefs are now displayed in the British Museum.
