The majority of stories were recorded in the early 1980s with interviewees recounting family histories extending back to the early part of the 20th century. Cesar Chavez Annual Commemoration March flag

Scope and Contents

This flag is signed by the American labor activists Helen Chavez, Cesar Chavez's widow, and Richard Chavez, Cesar Chavez's brother. The flag is red with the United Farm Workers logo of a black stylized eagle with wings the shape of an inverted Aztec pyramid. This logo was designed by Richard Chavez in 1962. The flag commemorates a 2004 march in honor of the life and work of Cesar Chavez on the 11-year anniversary of his death.
