Collection is comprised of FBI files collected by author Dr. José Ángel Gutiérrez in the course of his research on labor rights activist Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workes labor union. Files were provided in non-chronological order to Dr. Gutiérrez. They have been organized first by specific parts designated by Dr. Gutiérrez, and secondly by date.

Cesar Chavez Annual Commemoration March flag

Scope and Contents

This flag is signed by the American labor activists Helen Chavez, Cesar Chavez's widow, and Richard Chavez, Cesar Chavez's brother. The flag is red with the United Farm Workers logo of a black stylized eagle with wings the shape of an inverted Aztec pyramid. This logo was designed by Richard Chavez in 1962. The flag commemorates a 2004 march in honor of the life and work of Cesar Chavez on the 11-year anniversary of his death.

Noble Dinse collection

Collection comprises original set designs, scale models, and posters for numerous plays and musicals. Professor Dinse worked across many theatres located in the Central Valley and Northern California in addition to his teaching and designs for the California State University Theatre Department. Scope and Contents

The Educational Opportunity Program at Stanislaus State College was created with the passage of the Harmer Bill 1072 in 1969. The purpose of the program is to provide grants, and where appropriate, educational assistance, for undergraduates who study at California State Universities.

This collection comprises photographs and artifacts from the pioneer class of Stanislaus State College EOP students starting in the early 1970s.

Farmland Working Group collection

The Farmland Working Group is a nonprofit organization dedicated to farmland conservation and sustainable agriculture in Stanislaus County since 2000. Based in Turlock, the organization maintains a historical periodical documenting key developments in farmland preservation, local policy, and community efforts. More recently the Group's advocacy has expanded to the greater Central Valley and Northern California.
